I went to see Mr. Gul at the fracture clinic this morning.  Here is a photo of my arm:

It is too early to say if I will need a plate and screws inserted. I have to go back next Friday for another test.  He said it would be at least 4 months before I can use my arm to its full capacity.  I think I am becoming accustomed to the painkillers as I do not feel as sick as I did when I first started them.  This has an upside – lovely not to feel nausea all the time, but the downside is that I am now noticing that dusting and vacuuming is needed.  John is so hopeless…..maybe I can manage with one arm.

No yarn news – I have had a delivery of Manos Silk Blend today.  It all has to be skeined which is no go at the moment.  Everything is out to frustrate me!

  1. Ouch, no wonder it’s so painful. I wish I could go skein everything up for you! You should invite your friends over and have a Skeining Party. I’m sure they’d do a little cleaning too. 😉

  2. Can you not get a housekeeper for a while? You can’t be doing it in your condition making things worse. That bone looks so fragile and how are the shingles? Now you need a vacation more than ever. Thinking of you from across the pond…

  3. Oh my! This looks extremely painful….Jannette, you need to be pampered at this point. Jacki is right, a housekeeper and also someone who can take directives regarding the business while you rest. Take care of yourself!

  4. Hmm! Housekeeper? No chance! I can cope with the business side of things…I like to be occupied, it stops me from feeling sorry for myself! One of my friends is coming tomorrow to give the house a dust and polish!
